Bio & Experience

“She believed she could so she did.” – R. S Grey

I have been performing and creating music since I was 4 years old. Most of my life has been spent performing in choirs, musical groups, and with theater companies.

I am often asked who inspires me as a singer. I believe that a soulful voice is an honest voice. Some of my favorite singers include: Susan Tedeschi, Whitney Houston, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Pat Benetar, Tori Kelly, Kelly Clarkson, Heart, and Melissa Etheridge.

Music feeds my soul when I am happy, lifts me up when I am having a bad day, and helps me to focus when I want to get in a zone. I find inspiration to write songs everywhere. Some of the greatest happiness in my life has come from reaching people through music.

“I have found the greatest happiness in reaching people through music.”

Some people may know me from my years in the pop/r&b vocal group Jada. I learned SO much about the music industry and myself during that time. Signed with Universal Motown Records for a few years, Jada and I toured, recorded and performed all over the country. We had international hit singles produced Akon, RedOne, Andrew Frampton, and Wayne Wilkins, and performed at countless festivals, concerts, televised events and major sporting events across the country, including Madison Square Garden, TD Garden, Gillette Stadium, and at the KISS 108 FM Concert. It’s an experience I won’t soon forget.

My current musical endeavor is Venus Mars Project; a pop/rock band with my good friend Peter Tentindo. He and I write and perform original music that’s a little bit raw and a little bit glossy. We are excited to bring our original music to the universe! Please check out the Venus Mars Project website for more information.

While Venus Mars Project is my focus, I truly enjoy working in many different genres of music. I believe it is important to constantly be expanding and improving as an artist. Recently, I had the chance to perform some tunes from the Great American Songbook in a collaboration with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra.

On the flip side, for several Halloween seasons in Salem, MA I have played 80s rock chick “Scary Mary” in the original stage production of “Scary Mary and The Audio Corsette” which has been an absolute blast! Listen to two original songs from Scary Mary and The Audio Corsette on iTunes.

In addition to my other projects, I have just accepted the female lead singer role in the band Beantown.  Beantown is the preeminent Boston Wedding Band, having performed nationally for over a decade. Their credits include traveling with the New England Patriots to perform at 2 Super Bowls and sharing the stage with luminary recording artists Earth Wind & Fire, The Black Eyed Peas, Lionel Richie, and Alicia Keys. This 11 piece band features 4 dynamic front vocalists backed by a rhythm and 3 piece horn section unrivaled by any ensemble in the region. Beantown is the standard by which New England General Business Bands are measured; the first choice in entertainment for the most illustrious special events.
